To celebrate the impending arrival in the West End of BURLESQUE-ESQUE we would like, nay love to invite you to a Burlesque Beach Brunch!

Pop along to the Thames Beach, in front of the National Theatre, Sunday 21st September 2008.

Dress Code: Glamorous, Glitzy, GORGEOUS!

Time: 11 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. (or until it starts raining)

Brunch and mimosas will be served.

Followed by an after-party at The New Players Lounge, under The Arches, Charing Cross, WC2N.

Time: 12.30 p.m. ‘til you leave…

(Please note: if the British weather conditions threaten our pretty costumes we shall transfer the whole party to The New Players Lounge, from 11 a.m.)

These guys are amazing!

I am delighted to welcome on board the Anthony Strong Band. A sexy little jazz trio that adds the final touch and ensures our show will be the best the West End sees all year.

Anthony was born in Surrey in 1984 and studied at The Purcell School of Music, The Junior Academy of Music and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. It was at The Guildhall in 2003, when he formed 'the trio'. Since then, they have played at London venues including: Ronnie Scott's, The Pizza Express Jazz Club, Dean Street, The 100 Club, Pizza on the Park, The 606 Club, and Cafe de Paris. Anthony is a member of The Ronnie Scott's Allstars and has also worked with people including: Charlotte Church, Marti Pellow, Kyle Eastwood, Ian Shaw, Chantz, Joceleyn Brown, and Natalie Williams. Not only one of the stars of the brilliant sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf, but an incredibly talented, singer and dancer.

Danny will be putting something together for us, and if we're lucky he'll be performing with our fabulous house band and our Kittens...

A huge thank you to all who helped make Tuesday night's launch a big success.

We certainly made an impact on the night, with our decadent below-stairs den of sin and sugar. The man-in-the-red-bowler-hat ensured those lucky enough to be invited down were kept entertained and mystified, playing tricks and mindgames on them, rewarding those brave enough to go up against him with sugary treats.

Magician Matthew Donald kept crowds happy with breathtaking close-up magic performances, late into the evening.

And the girls, boy the girls... Elegant, beautiful, unobtainable - enticing guests to our burlesque dressing room, where cups of vodka were served.

So, Burlesque-Esque is out there now - and from the inside we can let you know the show is going to be spectacular!

To celebrate the new autumn season the New Players Theatre is having a party on Tuesday 22nd July.

We are going to be there in full Burlesque style. It starts at six p.m. and will run until we fall over. There will be free cocktails and munchies, plus entertainment running throughout the evening.

Just knowing about it is your invitation! It's going to be one you don't want to miss so put it in your diary now...

Burlesque hits the West End!

A brand new theatrical production, Burlesque-Esque pulls together elements of burlesque, cabaret and steampunk, featuring The Kitten Club and very special guests.

Those frisky felines The Kitten Club return to The New Players for an evening of song, dance, comedy, magic, fire-eating and much more…

Each night features live music and a star guest performance, ranging from the UK’s greatest jazz singers and stars of the West End to the country’s finest stand-up comics.
